FAQs

 Is this suitable for weddings?

Yes, it is mostly used for weddings but is great for other occasions too such as women only parties, aqeeqahs, Eid, graduation parties etc. It's great because many guests still need access to their phones during the event for cases of emergency.

But why would anyone need or want this?

There are many advantages to restricting guests ability to use their phone cameras while still accessing their phones. Here are some:

  • At women only weddings where the bride normally wears the Hijab, it allows the bride to have a stress-free time knowing her photos won't end up on social media without her consent.
  • Even when taking selfies, some guests are not careful in ensuring there is no one behind them which results in photos of the guests also being at risk of getting in unauthorised hands.
  • This forces guests to use their phone less (reducing a core functionality of a phone) and enjoy the event more.
  • Some events and weddings, guests have been asked hand in their phones at the entrance of the hall. As a mother myself, I know this is often an impossible solution as I need to have access for the babysitter in cases of emergency.

But why would I invite someone I don't trust with their phone camera?

During weddings, there is a good chance (especially for larger weddings) that there will be people there that you don't know very well. Unfortunately, not everyone is to be trusted. I've been to many weddings where there has been an announcement that no one should take any photos of the bride and five minutes later you see a sea of hands snapping away. When asked to put their phones away, they turn around as say they won't post it anywhere.

You can't always invite only those you trust. There are family members and family friends on both your side and your husband's side that you HAVE to invite even if you don't know them well or trust them.

Can my guests still use their phones and take phone calls while using the covers?

Yes, our phone cases use high quality, clear and soft plastic on the front which allows your guests to use their phones easily. You can even take phone calls and can hear and be heard really well.

Are the phone covers one time use?

No, the phone covers are reusable. You can resell them or even start a business or your own renting the cases out for weddings and other events.

Can I start a business renting these cases out to customer?

This is honestly the perfect time for you to be starting this! The market is new and unsaturated and the demand for this service is very high. Simply order the number of cases you would like to begin with (we recommend you start with 400 + so you can cater to most weddings). Our bundles include all the additional equipment you need to provide the service from the security tags detacher to a metal detector (making sure guests don’t hide their phones).

But can I still take photos even if the phone is in the cover?
No, it’s not possible to take photos while the phone is in the camera protection cover. The back of the cover stops the back camera from being used and the top rim stops the front camera. In cases of smaller phones, a small sticker is placed on the front camera before being placed into the case.
